Staying Open-Minded About Your Healthcare

When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I didn't know what I was going to do. After the devastation subsided, I decided to take a very standard, western approach to my healing. Although initial efforts were successful, my cancer recurred a few months later. I endured many additional months of treatment before I started focusing on myself. I decided it was time to incorporate complimentary alternative treatments into my healing regimen, including massage therapy. I can't even begin to tell you how much it changed my life. My healing became a process, instead of something I simply had to endure. I hope that the articles on my website can inspire you to stay open-minded about your own healthcare.

Learn How To Choose Your First Set Of Glasses

Blog

Having to get glasses for the first time can be a bit overwhelming because you want to be sure that you invest in glasses that are comfortable and stylish. It is important to take your time when choosing a pair of glasses to ensure that you buy a pair you will actually want to wear for quite some time. Below is a guide for choosing the best frames for your face:

Size

Before choosing a set of frames, you need to try them on. You do not want to buy frames that are too wide for your face or when you try on frames, the length of the arms is important. You want to be sure the arms of the glasses are long enough to rest on top of your ears comfortably to be sure that the glasses do not fall off your face when you look down or tilt your head.

Weight

Frames come in many different weights. Trying on a few frames ensures that you learn how comfortable different weights are to you. There are some frameless glasses that are very lightweight and are often very comfortable to many first time wearers.

Color

If you are choosing a frame that is colored, be sure that you choose a color that you can see yourself wearing on a daily basis. If you have a professional career, neon pink or bright yellow glasses may not be the most ideal color option for you.

Shape

Frames are available in a variety of shapes and choosing a shape that complements your face nicely is important. If you do not have high cheekbones, round frames can give the illusion that you have higher cheekbones. Square frames are ideal for someone that has a wider face because it will draw attention toward the center of your face.

Quality

There will be a variety of frames from which you can choose and taking the time to choose frames that are well made is important. If you invest in quality, you can replace the lenses again and again to ensure that you get as much bang for your buck as humanly possible.

If you take all of these things into consideration when buying your first pair of glasses, you can rest assured that they will be comfortable and suit their purpose well. If you are not happy with the glasses, the shop you used to create them may have a return or exchange policy. Not all shops do, so it is important to take the time to try on quite a few frames before choosing one to use to create your glasses.
